Service Description
The NRA Basic Shotgun Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for safe and proper shotgun use in shooting a moving target. This course is at least ten hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. You will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. After passing the course, you will receive a course completion certificate. What to bring: 1) A quality long barrel shotgun 2) Quality 75-100 rounds of ammunition suitable for clay shooting 3) Pen and paper 4) Eye protection 5) Hearing protection 6) Wear appropriate, comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes. What we provide: 1) NRA Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook 2) NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Booklet 4) Gun Safety Rules Card 5) Access to the range 6) Unlimited targets.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund. Otherwise, a $50 late cancellation fee will be applied to your refund. You can also reschedule your appointment to the next available class to avoid the late cancellation fee.
